Your help is needed to register voters - and you can do it from home. All you need is a smartphone and a computer or tablet. The dialing software, Hubdialer, masks your phone number and will dial the calls for you. A script is provided. Olympia Indivisible members Kelly and Carla are hosting slow-paced group phone bank training sessions in June on Zoom. They will teach you the basics of making calls to register likely Democratic voters in key battleground states, and help you to overcome any fear you might have about making phone calls to strangers. From OI’s E-SAT Team Work Party for Dave Upthegrove - He Needs Our Help!OI has endorsed Upthegrove for Public Lands Commissioner. He has a tough race in the primary against multiple Democrats and two Republicans. You can read more about his campaign priorities and endorsements HERE. What does the Public Lands Commissioner do? Oversees the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. The Department manages nearly six million acres of land including forest, range, commercial, agricultural, and aquatic lands which generate more than $300 million annually for public schools, state institutions, county services and aquatic restoration. DNR also manages lands for conservation, endangered species protection, and recreation. What: Come attend a work party to make yard signs and sign up for campaign activities to support Dave Upthegrove for Public Lands Commissioner. From our friends at Thurston Climate Action Team (TCAT) The City of Olympia is getting close to kicking off its 2024 Energize Olympia program and is looking for volunteers to spread the word about the program. Tasks for volunteers are primarily outreach related and would include distributing marketing materials, posting flyers around town, and reposting the City’s Energize Olympia social media posts. There will be a volunteer kickoff event in June to teach volunteers about the Energize Olympia program over pizza, followed by a group flyer posting activity.
