Additional Notes
- Title: Short effective title which tells people what the CTA is about
- Image: Picture with source and credits or, preferably, taken from source not requiring credits (please provide source and credits with a link to the site of origin in either case) Free Photo Sources and Photo Size Requirements
- Body of the CTA: 1-2 short paragraphs which tell the reader why this action is important, plus background material. When appropriate, use links to trustworthy external sources for more in-depth information.
- Action: What Action you want OI membership to take. And how/where it can be done (telephone, email, attend meeting, rally, etc). Include links for emails, Take Action Network, and, if pertinent, trusted external source sponsoring the action.
- Script: What your activist needs to say, telephone, or email.
Additional Notes
- The CTA team collects suggestions for action throughout the week and makes final decisions on Fridays. Please have your suggestion submitted by Thursday.
- Note that most actions are taken within the first 48 hours after the CTA is sent as a Mailchimp (Sunday at noon). If an action is time sensitive, include a “deadline: [date].
- Comm-Tech’s publishing team will do editing and formatting as required to make a proposed action compatible with our procedur

Background:
President Biden’s choice to nominate Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court is both historic and wise. She is extremely and uniquely qualified for this position. Republicans are already working to disparage her with claims that she was only chosen because she is black.
President Biden had the courage to advocate for a black woman justice because the life experience and perspective of a highly qualified black woman judge has never been allowed to be heard. It is time.
Action: Contact both our Senators and urge them to publicly speak out in support of Justice Jackson.
