The team meets Sunday mornings and after lively discussion, selects a handful of federal, state, and/or county issues which are current, important, and actionable. Issues are then taken home by team members, who formulate background texts and actions which are inserted into the CTA document generally by 2:30PM.  Other OI members may submit action items for the CTA teams review and inclusion in the CTA

The team occasionally issues Urgent Calls to Action when an emergency situation demands immediate response from our members.

The GOTV Field team works in collaboration with the Thurston County Auditor’s Office and with League of Women Voters Thurston County to determine how/when/where they can assist with voter registration and Getting Out The Vote (GOTV) events in Thurston County. The team also independently seeks to develop relationships with Thurston County high schools, colleges, universities, organizations, and events to solicit opportunities to do voter registration and build a relationship of mutual trust.

When time and energy permit, the team seeks opportunities to encourage pro-democracy voters to fill out and mail their ballots. As time allows, the team also does ballot observation to strengthen trust in our electoral system and push back against disinformation.
