Roll Up Your Sleeves to Help Kamala NowPhoto Source: Field Team 6 The presidential action team of Olympia Indivisible offers easy actions to take for Kamala Harris in a new one-stop shopping flyer. Select an action you can take from the comfort of your own home such as phone banking, texting, letter and postcard writing. All these actions are to register Democratic voters in the Battleground States. All actions offer training by volunteers. Since Washington is a blue state, our work must focus on the critical Battleground States Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona. In 2020, Biden won by extremely slim margins in each of those states. To work in those states, Olympia Indivisible has teamed with Field Team 6, a volunteer-based organization that offers a variety of voter registration campaigns. Find links to all the easy but effective actions you can take to help Kamala Harris win. About 100 days until the election, so roll up your sleeves to help Kamala now. It is shameful to do nothing." --Alexsei Navalny, Russian activist for a democratic Russia (1976 - 2024) Action 1: Choose an action from the flyer and go to that link to register for a Zoom training. On Thursday, July 25, 160,000 white women attended the much talked about “Answer the Call” White Women For Harris Zoom event. It was planned, of course, in response to the Black Women for Harris call that happened at the beginning of the week. White women have typically not done the heavy lifting in Democratic politics, and too many of them, of course, voted for Trump. This call was an effort to confront and remedy that fact, especially in light of Kamala Harris’s candidacy. Attendees raised over 2 million dollars in a few hours. Over the next 12 hours that number rose to eight and a half million dollars!! WHAT? More than money, it is volunteering and boots on the ground that will make the difference. Continuing the Women’s effort (Black, Brown, White), there is a zoom meeting on Monday, July 29, at 4:00pm PT. During this call, you will have the opportunity to hear from extraordinary women, both outside and on the campaign. The latest updates from HQ and details on how you can get involved with our efforts to mobilize women voters ahead of November will be provided. Please sign up for the call and share it with anyone you know who might be interested. We are going to win this election — together. |
