![]() Bags and boxes of food are flying out of the Thurston County Food Bank as the numbers rise of people who need support. Of those seeking support, 20% are first time users of the Food Bank. For Thanksgiving, the Food Bank is letting folks know that turkeys will only be available for as long as they last. Today, Olympia Indivisible launched a Food Bank fundraising drive. An OI member kicked it off with a $200 donation -- and a challenge that we reach $1,000 by this Monday, November 23. At the onset of the pandemic, between March and May, OI members generously contributed $2,831 to the Food Bank. The need is great. Let’s do it again -- and soon! Donating is easy on the OI website “Donate” page. You can make a donation via PayPal, Google Wallet (no fee is taken) or send a check. Make your donation HERE. Please, when you make a donation, indicate “Food Bank.” Thanks everybody! Comments are closed.
