Social Justice: Groups working with direct services and advocacy
  • Black Alliance of Thurston County - BATC takes action to be a catalyst for positive change.
  • ​​CIELO - CIELO Project is the only bilingual, bicultural Latino center in the south Puget Sound area. They offer educational, counseling and advocacy services to the Latino community.
  • Dispute Resolution Center of Thurston County - The Dispute Resolution Center empowers people to resolve their disputes by providing conflict resolution services and trains community members in those skills.
  • Homes First - The mission of Homes First is to provide safe, healthy, affordable rental homes for those who need them most.
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness - NAMI of Thurston and Mason counties provides free support groups, education programs, and also fights for improvements to our mental health delivery systems.
  • ​Planned Parenthood - Planned Parenthood is one of the nation’s leading providers of high-quality, affordable health care, and the nation’s largest provider of sex education. With or without insurance, you can always come to us for your health care.
  • Sidewalk - SideWalk’s Rapid Rehousing program helps people experiencing homelessness to quickly move off the streets and into homes. We do this by offering a small amount of short-term rent assistance to help people leap the hurdle posed by move-in costs.
  • SURJ Olympia - Olympia Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is part of a national multi-racial network mobilizing & organizing white people within a multi-racial movement for racial justice. 
  • South Sound Partners in Philanthropy - A consortium of more than 40 South Sound non-profit organizations dedicated to the promotion of philanthropic efforts in Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties.
  • Veterans For Peace - Rachel Corrie Chapter 109 pledges to use non-violent means and to maintain an organization that is both democratic and open. All members are trusted to act in the best interests of the group for the larger purpose of world peace.
Economic: Groups working on economic integrity
  • ​Enterprise for Equity - Enterprise for Equity has been helping people with limited-incomes start small businesses since 1999.
Environmental: Groups working to help the environment
  • Black Hills Audubon Society - BHAS is an all-volunteer-based, non-profit organization whose 1,300+ members share interests in birds and other wildlife, their habitats, and natural history. Our goals are to promote environmental education and recreation and to maintain and protect our ecosystems for future generations.
  • Climate Solutions - As a Northwest-based clean energy economy nonprofit, Climate Solutions works to champion transformational policies and market-based innovations, catalyze powerful partnerships and a diverse movement for action and accountability, and communicate a bold vision for solutions at the scale required by climate science. 
  • Olympia Coalition for Ecosystem Preservation - OlyEcosystems is an urban land trust whose focus is to protect, preserve, and restore the diverse ecosystems of Olympia, Washington that include the freshwater, shoreline, tidal waters, and upland forests that are home to the Pacific Great Blue Heron, cutthroat trout, salmon, and companion species.
  • NW EcoBuilding Guild - The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild is a 501(c)(3) community of builders, designers, suppliers, homeowners, and partners concerned with ecological building in the Pacific Northwest. The Guild empowers people through education to transform the built environment for long term sustainability.
  • Puget Soundkeeper Alliance - Puget Soundkeeper’s mission is to protect and preserve the waters of Puget Sound by monitoring water quality, helping to set strong policies and regulations that protect our waterways and our health, enforcing environmental regulations, engaging with citizens and businesses in waterway cleanups and recovery projects, educating and involving the public in local water pollution issues, and partnering with local and regional groups to advance solutions that protect our Puget Sound.
  • Thurston County Environmental Voters  - Thurston Environmental Voters is a grassroots political action committee in Thurston County, Washington who work to elect environmental champions to state and local office.
  • VETS CAFE - VETS_CAFE works as a leader in regenerative farm design, conservation & consulting. VETC conservation, agriculture, forestry, and ecology training programs work with teams of veterans and allies to design, build, and enjoy community conservation and agriculture projects and veteran farms. VETC's vision is a network of local and regional farms and farmers who help to stabilize regional food systems.
  • Washington Environmental Council - Washington Environmental Council is a nonprofit, statewide advocacy organization that has been driving positive change to solve Washington’s most critical environmental challenges since 1967. Our mission is to protect, restore, and sustain Washington’s environment for all.
Faith Based Organizations​​
  • Interfaith Works - IW is a non-profit association of faith communities and individuals of diverse faith traditions. They have a long-standing history of bringing the human and financial resources of our faith communities together with business and government agencies for the benefit of those in need. Striving to participate in endeavors which are relevant to the times in which we live, while maintaining our identities as people of faith, IW envisions social justice and peace through interfaith understanding and cooperation.
  • Olympia Fellowship of Reconciliation - Since its founding in 1914, on the eve of World War I, the Fellowship of Reconciliation has worked tirelessly to promote nonviolence as a means of resolving conflict and achieving justice and peace worldwide.
  • The Olympia Peace Choir - The Olympia Peace Choir is an inclusive, intergenerational community chorus dedicated to using the power of song to create peace, social justice, and promote environmental stewardship. 
  • South Sound Buddhist Peace Fellowship -  SSBPF work includes sparking conversation at the intersection of Buddhism and social justice, training Buddhist political activists, and mobilizing people to action from a Buddhist perspective. SSBPF seeks to bring peace, compassion, love and equanimity to political and social activism, working in collaboration with other organizations and individuals.
  • United Church of Christ HIV & AIDS Network - UCAN seeks to build a network of people, congregations and organizations within and beyond the United Church of Christ for care giving, education and prevention in response to HIV and AIDS. Their goal is ZERO... Zero new infections, Zero AIDS-related deaths, Zero discrimination.
Political: Groups involved in legislative politics and elections​
  • Legislative Academy - Free lectures hosted by the First Olympia United Methodist Church where community members come together to learn about government basics, the issues facing our state and how we can all be informed, empowered citizens of Washington state.
  • MoveOn Olympia - This is the Facebook group for the local chapter of the national MoveOn movement.
  • Thurston County Democrats - TCD work to promote progressive agendas and candidates in Thurston County.
  • Thurston County Progressives - TCP supported Bernie Sanders and are continuing the revolution for social, economic, and environmental justice.
