Quote of the Week: “In June, over 5,000,000 Americans gathered at more than 2,000 No Kings protests to take a stand against Trump’s rising tyranny. Saturday could be even bigger -- the biggest, loudest peaceful protest in modern American history…We'll win this fight for democracy if we stand together bravely, resolutely, and in numbers bigger than ever before.” – Ezra Levin, Indivisible National Team newsletter, Oct. 15, 2025 Get Out on the Streets: Photo by zaya odeesho on Unsplash Want the scoop on upcoming rallies, marches, and related events? Visit OI’s Rallies, Marches, Town Halls and Boycotts webpage! Help Our Candidates Win! The Time is Now! Here are four ways you (yes! you!) can make a difference for your community: Action 1: Be a Door Beller! Get out there and ring some doorbells on behalf of candidates. Check out this week’s opportunities in our 2025 Local Elections Campaign Support Events calendar. Get your steps in, visit new neighborhoods, make new friends, and Make a Difference! Action 2: Be a Sign Waver! If you have mobility issues but want to help, be a sign waver! Check out this week’s opportunities on our 2025 Local Elections Campaign Support Events calendar. Action 3: Put Up a Yard Sign! Get a yard sign for OI-endorsed and pro-democracy candidates! You can pick one up at OI’s 24/7 campaign yard sign hub in SE Olympia. These FREE yard signs are for putting in your own yard. If you live on a well-trafficked street, this invitation is for you! Send an email to [email protected] for address details. Action 4: Share Olympia Indivisible’s 2025 local election recommendations! Print out a couple of copies of this handy half-sheet with OI’s recommended candidates and positions on Proposition 1 and the SJR 8201. Bring it with you to your gym, the grocery store, wherever you’ll meet friends and neighbors. Or, send it as an attachment with a personal email to friends and family who might appreciate your suggestions. -------------------------- Use Drop Boxes, Not Mailboxes, to Vote From our friends at Indivisible Eastside Alert: the Washington Secretary of State cautions voters that using a designated ballot drop box is the most reliable method for voting within 7 – 10 days prior to the Tuesday Nov 4 election due to potential postmark delays at the post office. Any ballots postmarked after 8 pm on Nov 4 are tossed out, and current post office systems jeopardize that. Instead, locate a designated ballot box and be sure to cast your vote during the state voting period Oct 18 – Nov 4. Sign up! Indivisible National No Kings 2.0 Debrief Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 5pm No Kings 2.0 will be massive, powerful, and meaningful - but it won’t be the end of our work.
