Federal Actions:

Protect The Right To Vote Without a Passport

From Civil Discourse with Joyce Vance

In a new effort to attack the freedom to vote. The Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is considering adopting a requirement that voters show a passport or other proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote. This is the same concept that was in the failed anti-voter bill, the SAVE Act.

The EAC is accepting public comments on this issue. Anti-voter advocates have flooded their website with one-sided and misleading comments. Read some of the comments on the site for yourself.

Deadline October 20, 2025.

Action: Fight back with comments of our own HERE
Click on the blue “Comment” button to start writing. Choose whether to share your name and information or submit your comment anonymously.

Points to make:
  • I am opposed to this mandate for proof of citizenship.
  • The cost and effort is an onerous burden that will prohibit people from voting.
  • The cost of at least $165 is prohibitive to many citizens.
  • The time and effort to collect your documents and make an appointment
  • Voter fraud has been proven not to be a problem.
  • This rule is an end run around the normal process for making a law.
  • This show-your-papers policy could block millions of American citizens from voting.

Get Rid of RFK Jr.

Background:
  •  4 takeaways after RFK Jr.'s fiery Senate hearing over CDC
  • Haley Stevens files articles of impeachment against RFK Jr.
Since his appointment as HHS Secretary, RFK Jr has wrought massive destruction in our health care system, such as:

  • Undermining scientifically approved vaccines,
  • Radically cutting health research,
  • Firing key personnel,
  • Cutting funding for SIDS research and general cancer research,
  • Promoting health misinformation, like blaming tylenol for autism.

Thousands of scientists, doctors, HHS present and former employees, and bipartisan Members of Congress have worked to end RFK Jr’s dangerous reign. This week, six former Surgeon Generals announced he is an unprecedented threat to the health system and “people are going to die.”

Action 1: Join 25,000 concerned Americans signing the Stand Up for Science petition to Congress to Impeach and Remove RFK Jr.
Sign the IMPEACH RFK Citizens' Petition to Congress

Action 2: Tell our Members of Congress to keep fighting to get rid of this
charlatan who is tearing apart our health system.
  • Senator Patty Murray, 253-572-3636 or Contact Form
  • Senator Maria Cantwell, 253-572-2281 or Contact Form
  • Or use Democracy.io
Script: Thank you for your outstanding leadership confronting HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr’s destruction of HHS. Keep standing firm! As a leader, your continued bipartisan work demanding accountability and his resignation is our best chance of getting our health system restored.
  • Representative Marilyn Strickland, 202-225-9740 or Contact form
  • Or use Democracy.io
Script: Thank you for your efforts to confront Secretary Kennedy’s destruction of HHS and his action to cut research funds for vaccines. It is so important that you stand firm to protect our health system and work to support Rep. Haley Stevens’ upcoming impeachment articles.

WA State Actions:

Share Your Ideas for Decarbonizing Transportation

Background:
  • Governor Ferguson announces launch of ZEVergreen initiative
  • Department of Ecology hosting public dialogue sessions (You may need to scroll to see relevant information)

Governor Bob Ferguson and our state Department of Ecology have recently launched the ZEVergreen initiative, which aims to push forward with cleaning up transportation and reducing fuel costs for the state of Washington. This comes in response to Congress ending tax rebates for e-vehicles, and general opposition from the federal government of our state’s goals of clean transportation. ZEVergreen would like the public to participate in this conversation. Share your perspective, expertise, or unique brilliant ideas about how to decarbonize transportation in Washington.

Action: Share your ideas with the Department of Ecology about how our state can push clean transportation forward without federal support in two different ways:

  • ZEVergreen is holding a public dialogue session via Zoom on October 27 at 9 a.m. You can sign up here.
You can also share your idea on their public comment form. Public comments are open until October 31.

Have You Scheduled These Events?

Important Note for Olympia Indivisible Coffee Connections for Saturday, October 18.

Hey! October 18th is NO KINGS 2.0 Rally day. Consequently, we will not be holding a Coffee Connections meet-up. Please join us at the Capitol Campus at noon for our event. We’ll be back on October 25th.
