Quote of the Week:“At the start of the year, we knew this movement would play a pivotal role in the fight against authoritarianism. Still, we’re blown away by the level of commitment and dedication every Indivisible has shown throughout a difficult year.” – Ezra Levin, Indivisible National Co-founder, December 26, 2025 Get Out on the Streets: Photo by zaya odeesho on Unsplash Want the scoop on upcoming rallies, marches, and related events? Indivisible National Calls to Action Tell your senators: No war with Venezuela. Trump is continuing to escalate his warmongering: On Saturday, the Coast Guard boarded an oil tanker that doesn't even appear on US lists of sanctioned vessels; Hegseth's "Department of War" is now in active pursuit of a third tanker; and last week saw an uptick in drone attacks on small boats, bringing the total number of people needlessly killed to at least 100. The Senate will be voting after the holiday on War Powers legislation that would block the march to war. Call your senators and urge them to vote yes. Submit a public comment on the Trump regime's new attacks on trans youth. The government is now accepting public comment on two proposed rules that would severely restrict access to gender affirming care for young Americans. These comments will be supportive of legal challenges aimed at blocking the new rules. Submit a comment now. Join What’s the Plan with Leah and Ezra: New year, new registration link! Our informal weekly Zoom chats with Indivisible co-founders Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin are done for the year, but they’ll be back on January 8. They hope you’ll join them in the new year -- HOWEVER, to do that, you’ll need to register at the new link above. Federal Actions: Demand Unbiased CoverageImage Source: Wikimedia Commons From our friends at Chop Wood, Carry Water Internet Archive link to view the 60 Minutes CECOT segment suppressed by Bari Weiss in the U.S. Contact CBS about their horrible decision to cancel the Cecot story on 60 Minutes last night. We can reach them at their comment page here or at their Ombudsman feedback page. We can also leave a comment on their Facebook page or DM them via their Instagram page here. Action 1: Send a comment! Suggested Script: I’m writing to express my profound disappointment and anger that CBS — or Bari Weiss, more specifically — made the decision to pull the 60 Minutes Cecot story. Until I see evidence that CBS is putting unbiased coverage ahead of allegiance to a fascist administration, I will be boycotting your station as well as Paramount Plus. I’ll be writing to your advertisers, too, and letting them know that I won’t shop with them as long as they buy ad time with you. Demand Progressive RevenueInstead of an austerity budget that would harm pretty much every part of the state government and devastate education, we need to address tax inequality in our state and fund public services. Washington State has no regulations on the use of ALPRs. Data is being shared openly with ICE, Border Patrol, and other agencies — at least ten counties have shared data with ICE. Alarmingly, Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Neidzwski recently ruled that ALPR data is open to anyone anywhere. This further opens the data to abuse by people who want to snitch on their neighbors or satisfy a grudge. Action: In the upcoming state legislative session (starting January 12) a bill will be introduced to address these issues. You can help by letting your state rep know you strongly support this bill. Please note that you can email or call our representatives but calling is more effective. Feel free to add your own thoughts. Suggested Script: I strongly support legislation to curtail the use of ALPR cameras — legislation that would:
Thank Senator Bateman for Cosponsoring Law Enforcement Unmasking LegislationSource: From our friends at Indivisible Bellingham Actions Team The random kidnapping of people off the streets and from their beds by unidentified masked agents has been a cornerstone of the federal regime’s terror campaign. Washington State is fighting back. Bill SB 5855 has been pre-filed before the start of the 2026 state legislative session on January 12th, to require the unmasking of law enforcement. Background: “Valdez introduces bill to ban face-concealing masks by law enforcement in response to masked ICE raids.” Dec. 8, 2025. Homepage, Washington State Senator Javier Valdez. Action: Thank LD 22 state senator Jessica Bateman for co-sponsoring SB 5855. Email or call before the beginning of the 2026 legislative session; calling is more effective. Feel free to add your own thoughts.
Suggested Script: Thank you for co-sponsoring bill SB 5855 to require law enforcement to show their faces. This is an important step toward imposing accountability on currently out-of-control federal agents, and can help prevent or mitigate attacks by vigilante gangs. I look forward to the bill’s introduction and will do everything I can to support it. Have You Scheduled These Events?
