How Will We Protect the Results?
CALLING ALL ELECTION PROTECTORS: Olympia Indivisible is a participant in Protect the Results, a nation-wide, bi-partisan coalition of 110+ organizations committed to the peaceful protection of  the results of the 2020 presidential election. If events warrant a national response, Olympia Indivisible will mobilize along with millions of Americans across the nation, through peaceful “count every vote” actions. If  you are interested in  participating in and/or  helping to sustain these actions, visit Protect the Results, look for events in 98501, and register to receive information. Please be aware that we will mobilize only if events warrant, and in coordination with the national Protect the Results coalition.

ALSO: HELP WANTED! The Olympia Indivisible Protect the Results Taskforce is seeking volunteers for our Peace and Safety team for possible public events the week following November 3rd. If you are interested, thank you! and please use this form to contact the team lead, who will respond with more information.

Help Make Young Democratic Voters Bloom in the Arizona Desert
We continue to make phone calls to a specialized group of newly-registered Democrats, 30 years old and under, who may or may not have received an absentee ballot.  For some, this may be their first time voting.  Our job is to make the call that will help them to select a plan to vote -- and to vote as soon as possible for Mark Kelly and Joe Biden. Only one week and a couple of days to go.

Get friendly training and support this Monday and Wednesday from
12 noon - 2 p.m.  Use an autodialer on your computer (no telephone needed) or a combo telephone and computer (tablets work too!).  Easy scripts and good background information available for Mark Kelly. After you are trained, you can call with the group or call on your own time between 8am - 8pm.  Sign up here.

After you register through our partner organization, Flip the West, you’ll receive an Arizona Tool Kit to review in advance.  Also, plenty of useful phone banking information is on the OI website’s “Calling Arizona Voters.”

Absentee and Early Voting by Youth in the 2020 Election
It's been a long road since election day 4 years ago, but your actions and involvement have made a difference. People across our country are voting in record numbers. One really exciting development has been the response from young voters, particularly in battleground states. They are voting in record breaking numbers. According to a study by Tufts University last week:

In several states, the number of votes cast by youth as of October 21 has already exceeded the 2016 presidential margin of victory in the state.

As of October 21, more than 3 million young people (ages 18-29) have already voted early or absentee in the 2020 elections, including more than 2 million in 14 key states that may well decide the presidency and control of the United States Senate.

VOTE!
ACTION:
  1. Fill out your ballot as soon as you get it. Trump is trying to slow down and weaken the vote and we won’t let him. Use the OI endorsements info as a guide as well as the Washington Voters pamphlet.
  2. https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/research/election-results-and-voters-pamphlets.aspx
A sample ballot vote for everything on the ballot prepared by OI can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQW_yZ2SN2U6bqAvtBU81IlHhcHLoapcEHzEBDDrI5L1vWkx1syLmJD8C-Hdcm2JZWneJnnh3VRKLJw/pubhtml.
