Support Helen Wheatley for Port Commissioner
Helen needs donations Now!
We are three weeks away from the election. Helen needs money for more signs plus printing and postage for a big mailer to voters the last week of the campaign.
ACTION: If you can afford to donate, now is the time to do it. All donations are appreciated. Go to https://secure.anedot.com/helenforport/donate and donate today.
ACTION: Oly Indivisible has one more group canvassing date and we need some folks to help out: Wednesday, October 16, 5-7 pm. RSVP to Tom Dyer, firstname.lastname@example.org. No need to contact us if you are unable to participate. Other options for canvassing are on Saturdays this month. Contact email@example.com to participate.
Phone Banking for Helen Wheatley with Our Revolution
OR has access to a huge list of receptive voters, many of whom, OR has discovered, know nothing about the Port Commissioner race but are thrilled to learn that a progressive candidate is running and are enthusiastic about voting for Helen.
ACTION: Two options for phone banking:
Feed the Protectors of the Salish Sea
The Climate Warriors are still at the Capitol trying to get Inslee to sign a climate emergency for WA state. They have sworn to be there until he signs. Folks are helping out but they need food this coming Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday; and Sunday next week. The dozen or so Protectors have a tent right on Capitol Way, in front of the Fountain. They have some big banners too. You can't miss them. People can drive right up in front and drop off the food. They don’t have electricity, so crock pots that will keep things warm are great. If you can help out, contact Brooke 509-251-6950
ACTION: Take ‘em some grub!

Name & Address
Call Denny Heck and urge him to strengthen H.R. 3, the Lower Drug Costs Now Act of 2019.
H.R. 3 was introduced last month and is a great step towards making prescription drugs more affordable. However, there are still some key improvements that should be added to protect patients from high launch prices, price spikes, and to ensure more drugs that folks rely on to stay healthy are included in each year’s negotiations. Click here to learn more about potential improvements to the bill and why we’re fighting for them.
Thurston County Commissioner Tye Menser Is Coming to OI
County Commissioner Tye Menser will speak at our All Member meeting in the evening of Thursday October 24 7:00 PM about key Thurston County matters. Reserve the date. More information to follow.
Sign up for shifts making calls to ensure an open and transparent impeachment trial. You’ve probably already seen us talk about it, but hubdialer -- the tool that lets folks volunteer from anywhere to call constituents in key areas and urge them to contact their MoCs -- is back in action! With Mitch McConnell and his Republican cronies setting the rules for a potential impeachment trial in the Senate, we’ve got to ensure that as many Senators as possible take a public stance on a fair and open trial. Once you sign up, we’ll make sure you have everything you need to get set up making calls -- it’s that easy! This is a really important way to contribute to the impeachment fight and we have *a lot* of shifts from now through the end of the month, so there’s hopefully one that fits with your schedule. We really need all hands on deck here -- RSVP now.
Watch the latest episode of Impeachment Daily. Impeachment Daily is a new video series where Meagan Hatcher-Mays, Indivisible’s Director of Democracy Policy, hosts a daily digest with the rundown of each day’s impeachment related news. It’s been *super* helpful to us to watch this every night so we can make sense of what’s happening, and we hope you find it helpful too. Episodes 1-7 are currently up and new episodes come out each night at 8 p.m. Eastern, and they’re all only a few minutes long -- check them out and share them with friends and family for an easy way to help others stay informed.
