Impeachment: The Time To Act is Now!
Show up for a day of action on June 15th to demand an impeachment inquiry.
Robert Mueller made it clear in his remarks last week: if Trump is going to be held accountable, Congress is going to have to meet its obligation as a co-equal branch of government. That’s why we’re joining with MoveOn and other partners for a June 15 day of action to demand an impeachment inquiry—if Congress doesn’t hold him accountable for his abuses of power, no one will.
Tell Congressman Heck: #FindYourSpine and sign onto H.Res.257 to begin impeachment inquiries now! The Mueller Report reveals some of 45's crimes, and yet he commits more with each passing day. Tell Congress to fulfill their Constitutional mandate by starting impeachment inquiries now! How many crimes does a President have to commit before it's enough?
11:00 AM - 11:10 AM

Impeachment Inquiry : The Time To Act is Now! Part 2
Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller needs to be subpoenaed by all the relevant committees in Congress so We The People have the complete facts in the investigation of the President. After all Mueller said, “If we had had confidence that the President clearly had not committed a crime, we would have said so.”
The Democrats’ need to focus on the criminal actions of this President that have been clearly brought to the light of day in the Special Council Report. We want no more obstruction of the investigations, Congress must go to court and have them enforce the multitude of subpoenas for the witnesses and actors of this President’s criminal acts.
ACTION: Call our 3 Members of Congress
“My name is __________ and I am a member of Olympia Indivisible. I am calling today because I feel strongly that it is time to ACT NOW to begin an Impeachment Inquiry. The longer Democrats delay, the longer that becomes the story. I want the inquiry to be done quickly, publicly and fairly. If possible, this could be done by legal counsel for the House Judiciary Committee to avoid political grandstanding. Once the American people have the facts, the House can then decide if impeachment or censure is warranted. Please tell (Congressman/Senator) ___________ that I am urging him/her to take a public stand on beginning an Impeachment Inquiry NOW.
Protect Our Quality of Life
Tell Denny: Co-sponsor the Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act
Prescription drug prices are substantially higher in the United States than in other high-income countries, and as a result, Americans spend more on prescription drugs than residents of other countries. Despite this, the government is not allowed to use its position as the largest purchaser of prescription drugs in the country to bargain for lower prices for patients.
Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) has introduced the Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act (H.R. 1046) to give Medicare the power it needs to effectively negotiate with drug companies and bring drug prices down. Read more here.
Every representative should co-sponsor H.R. 1046, the Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act! You can check here to see if your member of Congress (MoC) has already signed on.
ACTION: Call Denny Heck and tell him: reject bills that would use arbitration to bring down drug prices, and co-sponsor H.R. 1046, the Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act!
Script: Hi! My name is <NAME>, and I’m calling from <PART OF STATE>.
I’m calling to urge <MoC> to co-sponsor H.R. 1046, Rep. Doggett’s Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act because it will bring down our obscenely high drug prices while protecting patients’ access to critical medicines.
We need to give Medicare the ability to negotiate drug prices, but that new power must be paired with the appropriate leverage so that drug companies can’t continue gouging patients. Rep. Doggett’s bill, which uses competitive licenses as a “backstop” if drug companies refuse to come to the table, is the strongest proposal out there. I’ve heard that there may be another bill coming that would use arbitration instead, and that isn’t good enough. We need to put drug companies’ monopolies in the crosshairs -- not people’s access to medicine
Will <MoC> commit to rejecting an approach that uses arbitration to bring down drug prices, and to co-sponsoring H.R. 1046, the Medicare Negotiation and Competitive Licensing Act?

State & County Actions
Save Rocky Prairie! Citizens should decide the fate of our county, not an out-of-state company and Tacoma's Port.
The Port of Tacoma is attempting to sell 745 acres neighboring Millersylvania State park between Maytown and Tenino, WA to a Missouri-based development company, NorthPoint, for the purpose of creating a 6 million sq.ft. truck and train-serviced distribution and industrial center. If completed this would be one of the largest industrial buildings in the world with impacts throughout the county.
ACTION: Attend the Port of Tacoma Board of Commissioners meeting to protest. June 13th, 2019, 12:00 p.m., Room 104 of The Fabulich Center, 3600 Port of Tacoma Road in Tacoma.
Support the Thurston Conservation District (TCD)
Background: After two board members were removed for malfeasance and neglect of duty, we now have a full functional TCD Board of Supervisors ready to tackle our conservation challenges.
Last year the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved a Rates and Charges fee for 1 year only and stipulated that TCD needs to hold a public hearing before they can make a renewal proposal to the BOCC. At a later date the BOCC will allow public comments at their meeting and take written emails supporting the Rates & Charges.
The TCD has completed a governance training session, an audit has been completed with no fraud evident and suggestions for improved practices have been implemented. Many Olympia Indivisible members have been attending meetings and closely monitoring the amazing progress at the TCD.
Cost: Annual cost is $5 per parcel and $0.10 per acre. Most homeowners pay $5 per year.
As a Thurston County resident, I support the Thurston Conservation District (TCD) Board’s decision to present a rates and charges proposal through a resolution. The TCD needs to be able to count on consistent revenue in order to continue to do important work for the community. There are nearly 100 partners and stakeholders who have a vital interest in the survival of the TCD.
