Legislative Session
The Washington State Legislative session started on January 9 and will continue through April 24. Over 1,000 bills are up for consideration. Although we fortunately do have a liberal congress in Washington state, it is important that we participate in our democracy in order to prosper and to support those we have elected.
WILA and TAN
Our state-wide Indivisible group, Washington Indivisible Legislative Action (WILA), is tracking certain important bills and providing “actions” for members to take through Tan Action Network (TAN).

In a survey of members, it was asked: “What issues are most important to you?”. The top five from the consensus of those who responded were:

If you're new to Take Action Network (TAN):
Add this Washington Indivisible Legislative Action (WILA) “search” to your TAN dashboard and weigh in on all the important bills
Don't miss a single WILA action. TAN provides a search capability that can email you all the actions created by WILA.
Create or log in to Leg.wa.gov. Whether you use TAN, another organization, or both to take your actions, if you create an account on Leg.wa.gov, your sign-in actions will be saved to help you keep track so you don't accidentally duplicate. Additionally, you can modify sign-ins if you changed your mind or made an error. To do this, follow the instructions on the Create a leg.wa.gov account to keep track of your sign-in actions

- Midweek Legislative Actions email that goes out to all members for action, as well as
- special emails for important actions that need an immediate response.

If you're new to Take Action Network (TAN):

- Then click Join Take Action Network to accept the invitation from Olympia Indivisible and sign up.

- Go to the TAN WILA “About” page.
- At the bottom of the page, click the "WILA Legislative Actions" link - this will add the search to your dashboard.
- Optional: narrow the search with your legislative district:
- Go to your Dashboard and click the "WILA Legislative Actions" under “Named Searches”.
- Click the green "Open Search Form" button to update the WILA search, scroll down to the Electeds field, and enter "D" plus the number of your legislative district (eg. D45)
- Click "Search and Save" to update the search.
- Go to your Dashboard and click the "WILA Legislative Actions" under “Named Searches”.
